Welcome to the Safety Section of the Golden Gate H.O.G.® website. This section is under construction, and will soon have many additions as time goes forward. I invite everyone to visit and revisit this section often, as it will contain useful and informative postings, designed, and intended to answer questions that linger even in the most experienced rider's mind.
Few activities build camaraderie and memories faster than chapter rides, for they are the core of what this is all about.
Motorcycling is a fun and practical way to get around, but like any other sport, it has inherent risks. Learning to minimize these risks, to ride safely and defensively will help maximize your enjoyment as a solo rider as well as collectively in the chapter.
Golden Gate H.O.G.® is dedicated to safe riding. Some of the postings will contain information and instruction on items such as:

We offer a Safety Ride on the first Saturday of every month. We meet at GGHD in Corte Madera @ 10:00 AM with wheels rolling @ 10:30 AM. The ride proceeds through Southern Marin, including the Marin Headlands, in a specific route designed to present just about every kind of riding variance one can expect. We end up at GGHD in Novato @ noon in time for their monthly BBQ. All members, including experienced riders are invited to participate in this ride, as it serves as an excellent safe riding refresher. New members and new riders are strongly encouraged to attend this ride, as even the most experienced riders may not grasp the concept and fundamentals of group riding, which is what we are all about. As we learn together, we ride safer together. Looking forward to having you all aboard.
